Whew! It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Our apologies for for the long gap between posts- we’ve had quite the busy season!

Regardless, we’re heading into fall now and aside from being a favorite season, it’s also one of the best times of the year to plant!

Pansies

pansies

We’ve already begun our pansy install so if you’re interested in this cheerful flower, please let us know! Pansies come in a kaleidoscope of colors and are a great option if you’re looking for a bright pop of color to liven things up through the winter months. We plant the flowers now, they live underneath the snow all winter, and then bloom full-force in the spring. We do like to install them before you shut off your irrigation system, so let us know soon so we can get them in the ground!

Bulbs

Admittedly, bulbs are some of my favorites since they are so unassuming: they are very labor intensive to install and one you are finished, you’re stuck staring a pile of dirt! However, don’t be fooled– those bulbs will shoot up in the spring, providing you months of showy color!

We off tulips, hyacinths and daffodils in a huge assortment of color. Pro tip? We love planting a bed of bulbs with a layer of pansies over the top. The bulbs shoot up through the blooming pansies in the spring, offering a stunning display!

Perennials

Balogh Gardens - Denver Gardening and Landscaping - Maintenance, Design, PlantingAlthough you make think that perennial season passed in the spring, we’re back for round two! Fall is a great time of year to plant perennials since the temps have cooled and are more forgiving to new installs. If you are eyeballing an area in hopes of a new garden, please let us know. We’ll begin installs in a few weeks and we’re happy to come up with a design for you!
